Who controls your data

Bespoke Joinery Torquay is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We operate from Torquay, Devon. Our registered company details are [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME - TO BE CONFIRMED], [REGISTERED COMPANY ADDRESS - TO BE CONFIRMED].

You can reach us about anything in this policy at bespokejoinerytorquay@gmail.com or on 01803 223288.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry form on this site we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the service you selected, any free-text detail you add, and the page you were on when you submitted it. That is the entire set. We do not ask for payment details through this website and you should never send them to us by email.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not build a profile of your browsing.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use the information you send to reply to your enquiry, arrange a measured visit, prepare a quotation and, if you go ahead, carry out and invoice the work.

Before a contract exists, our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have asked us to quote, and replying is what you would reasonably expect. Once you instruct us, the basis becomes performance of a contract. Where we have to keep records for accounting or tax, the basis is a legal obligation.

We will not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry, and we do not sell or share contact details with third parties for their own marketing.

Who else sees it

Enquiry forms on this site are processed by Web3Forms, which passes the submission to our email inbox. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, whose servers necessarily process the technical request data needed to serve the page to you.

If your project involves other trades - an electrician, a plumber, a structural engineer - we will share only what they need to do their part, and only once you have instructed us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to completed work are kept for six years after the end of the relevant financial year, which is the period UK tax law requires.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interests, and ask for it in a portable format.

Email us and we will respond within one month. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use information you have already given us will be notified to you directly.
